Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 8 years of experience in Software development and with data structures/algorithms. 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products, and 3 years of experience with software design and architecture. Experience in C++, Java or Go. Experience with Kubernetes and Networking. Preferred qualifications: Experience with Distributed Systems, Linux, and Kernel. Experience with Cloud technologies and Network Security. Experience in working with large-scale distributed systems and related network infrastructure. In this role, you will build solutions for integrating Google Distributed Cloud-Hosted platform (GDC-H) with Upper Networking solutions, getting exposure to the flexibility and popularity of eBPF framework to enable fast-pacing development on top-notch networking features as well as the complex architecture of GDC-H platform involving nester cluster virtualization layers. Responsibilities Lead design and development of network connectivity solution for hybrid/multi cloud, involving data plane and control plane elements along with design and implementation of new networking features for GDC platforms. Lead design and development of network virtualization solutions for Container/VM workloads running on kubernetes platforms. Mentor and guide a small team of junior engineers across planning and execution of feature development efforts. Define clear scope of work, partition of responsibilities, monitor progresses and take full execution ownership and responsibility on project deliverables. Help external GDC customers who hit issues in production clusters. Engage with the open source community to help shape the direction of networking in Kubernetes. Advocatethe technology you will work on at Meetups/Forums/Slack and engage with consumers/community in public.
