Job Description:Job DescriptionEngineer / Senior Engineer – MEP PHE / FPS ExecutionQualificationBachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Civil Engineering – MandatoryDiploma candidates with strong relevant experience in PHE / Firefighting systems may also be considered.ExperienceMinimum 5 years of experience in PHE (Public Health Engineering) and Fire Protection Systems (FPS) for high-rise residential or commercial building projectsJob LocationProject Site (High-Rise Residential Projects)Role OverviewThe candidate will be responsible for planning, supervising, and monitoring plumbing and firefighting system installations at project sites. The role involves coordinating with civil execution teams, finishing teams, and subcontractors to ensure proper execution of water supply systems, drainage systems, sewage systems, and firefighting installations as per approved drawings, project specifications, and timelines.The position will work closely with MEP Managers, Electrical Engineers, and civil execution teams to ensure smooth integration of services during construction stages.Key ResponsibilitiesPHE Works ExecutionSupervise installation of water supply, drainage, sewage, and stormwater systems.Ensure proper execution of pipes, fittings, valves, pumps, and plumbing fixtures.Monitor installation of internal and external plumbing networks as per approved drawings.Firefighting Systems ExecutionSupervise installation of firefighting piping systems, hydrants, sprinklers, and fire pump systems.Ensure proper routing and installation of fire risers, sprinkler networks, and fire protection equipment.Coordinate with consultants and safety teams to ensure compliance with firefighting standards.Coordination with Civil & MEP TeamsCoordinate with civil execution teams for embedded sleeves, shafts, and service routing.Ensure PHE and firefighting works are properly integrated during structural and finishing stages.Resolve site coordination issues related to MEP services.Subcontractor ManagementSupervise plumbing and firefighting subcontractors and labour teams.Monitor work progress and ensure subcontractors follow approved methods and quality standards.Quality ControlEnsure installations comply with project specifications and regulatory requirements.Conduct inspections for pipe alignment, slope, pressure testing, and installation quality.Identify defects and ensure proper rectification before commissioning.Testing & Commissioning SupportAssist in testing and commissioning of plumbing and firefighting systems.Coordinate with consultants and inspection authorities for system approvals and certifications.Material & Resource ManagementMonitor usage and availability of pipes, valves, fittings, pumps, hydrants, and firefighting equipment.Coordinate with procurement teams for timely supply of MEP materials.Documentation & ReportingMaintain records of installation progress, inspection reports, and testing documentation.Assist in quantity verification and measurements for billing purposes.Prepare daily and weekly progress reports related to PHE and firefighting works.Safety ComplianceEnsure installation works are executed in compliance with site safety standards.Monitor safe handling and installation of pipes, pumps, and firefighting equipment.Technical Skills RequiredStrong knowledge of plumbing, drainage, and firefighting systems in high-rise buildingsExperience in installation of hydrants, sprinklers, pumps, and plumbing networksAbility to read and interpret MEP drawings and system schematicsKnowledge of PHE and firefighting codes and safety standardsProficiency in MS Excel and AutoCADPreferred SkillsStrong coordination with civil, finishing, and electrical teamsGood understanding of MEP service routing in high-rise constructionAbility to manage plumbing and firefighting subcontractorsStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
