This role involves deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting VMware environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability of on-prem systems.Responsibilities:
- Design, install, configure, and maintain VMware vSphere environments (ESXi, vCenter)
- Manage virtual machines, templates, snapshots, and resource pools
- Monitor system performance and conduct capacity planning
- Implement and maintain disaster recovery and backup solutions
- Integrate VMware with storage systems (e.g., EMC, NetApp) and virtual networking
- Troubleshoot hardware, OS, and virtualization issues across Windows and Linux platforms
- Apply patches, upgrades, and security configurations to VMware infrastructure
- Document configurations, procedures, and incident resolutions
- Collaborate with networking, security, and application teams for seamless operations
Minimum qualifications / Skills
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or related field
- Good experience in VMware infrastructure management
- Strong knowledge of VMware vSphere, vCenter, vSAN, and virtual networking
- Experience with server hardware, storage systems, and Active Directory integration
- Familiarity with ITIL change and incident management practices
- Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Bash) for automation
- VMware certifications (e.g., VCP-DCV) preferred
- Exposure to hybrid environments (on-prem + cloud)
- Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., vRealize, SolarWinds)
- Understanding of DNS, DHCP, and network segmentation
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Ability to work in a global, fast-paced enterprise environment
