- Ability to perform the first-level review of medium/complex US Individual Income Tax returns for US-Inpats and US Expatriates(Form 1040/Form 1040NR) prepared by Associates.
- Ability to perform the first-level review of US Tax Equalization Calculations, Hypo tax calculations, Gross-up tax calculations etc. prepared by Associates, for US-Expatriates.
- Ability to perform the first-level review of Tax Split calculations, With-in/With-out calculations etc, prepared by Associates for US Inpats.
- Monitor, document and apply any changes in tax rates, tax laws for US tax return preparation.
- Responsible for Quality Assurance for projects handled by the team
- Ability to identify technical issues on the engagements and to present with the recommendations to the engagement teams
- Ability to manage the engagements and coach the team on technical concepts
- Acting as subject matter expert (“Go To” Person) and be a conduit for knowledge sharing
- Actively participating in the technical forums
- Develop content and help conduct trainings
- Ability to identify gaps, coach, mentor and developing technical skills of team members
- Build professional relationship with the engagement teams
- 4 -6 years of experience in preparation and/or review of US Individual Income tax returns for US Full-year Residents, Dual-Status residents and Nonresidents (Form 1040/Form 1040NR).
- Thorough knowledge and experience in GMS specific tax rules applicable for US-Inpats and Expatriates such as various elections, Tax treaty-benefits, optimization calc etc, and analytical skills to take a judgmental call on the best optimal filing position for US-Inpats and Expatriates.
- Through knowledge and experience in reviewing Tax equalization calc, gross-up calc etc.
- Thorough knowledge and experience in analyzing the various types of source documents such as Consolidated Form 1099s (1099-INT, 1099-DIV, 1099-B, 1099-MISC etc). 1098s, Schedule K-1s, PTP K-1s, State K-1s etc, and also the tax treatment of such various types of investment income and adjustments.
- Graduate in B Com / BBA / BAFM / BBM / BSc(Stat or Math) or MBA (Finance)
