Get to know us at genpact.com and on LinkedIn, X, YouTube, and Facebook.Inviting applications for the role of Lead Consultant - Batch OperationsIn this role, you will be responsible for coding, testing and delivering high quality deliverables, and should be willing to learn new technologies.ResponsibilitiesManage “end of day” Batch incidents - partnership with application development and operational support partnersImpact analysis of job abends – root case analysisManage overall delays to the IM critical milestones, case of failures and notification to downstream teamsRecovery instructions job and/or batch abends (mainframe and distributed)Communications on incidents greater than severity S5Continuous focus on identifying and implementing opportunities to drive better efficienciesMonitor critical milestone completion timelines and track any unexplained deviationsPerform Batch ready for business (RFB) checkouts before start of business daySetup Batch alerts for new onboardings and fine tune existing onesMonitor alerts related to abends, long running jobs, platform exceptions including space, CPU's, that may be specific to platforms and applicationDevelop and maintain Batch run books, review audit trailsLeadership communication – Batch status and KPIsReview job level dependents, resource utilization patter, CPU consumption patterns and devise ways to optimizeBatch time dependencies and white space analysisDevelopment of Tool strategy - Adoption/In-house development of tools and dashboardsNew batch onboardings - process developmentPlanning, execution, support, collaboration and follow through with actionable related to of DR flips, DR / BCP / Isolation testsPlanning and support for Batch platform related events like Database, Network, Storage, schedulers, other tool version upgradesEnsure data in Prod and BCP environments are in syncReview of Temporary Access requests / Get Access entitlements and grant/revoke as appropriateSupport with the setup of Integration and conversion environment for Non-ProductionHandle Batch escalations and unresolved issues from within the team, and to external business partners, and engineering teamsQualifications we seek in you!Minimum QualificationsBE/B Tech/MCAExcellent written and verbal communication skillsBasic understanding of Investment Management/financial services domain knowledgePreferred Qualifications/ SkillsJava, JavaScript (with ExtJS).
