Company Description No Food Waste is a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) based in Coimbatore, working on various initiatives to reduce food waste and alleviate hunger. These initiatives include collecting surplus untouched food from weddings, parties, and events to feed those in need, emergency food assistance programs, nutrition development for children, and awareness and training on food safety. The organization's vision is to make the world hunger-free and zero food waste. Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Accountant at No Food Waste, based in Coimbatore. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for day-to-day accounting activities including but not limited to recording financial transactions, maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and verifying the accuracy of financial data. The Senior Accountant will also be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, preparing tax returns, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and standards. Qualifications Expertise in accounting principles and practices Experience in financial statement preparation and analysis Experience in budgeting, forecasting and tax preparation Working knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Office applications Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent written and verbal communication skills Master's degree in Accounting or related field is a plus Experience working with NGOs is a plus
