- Manage the complete fixed asset lifecycle, including acquisition, capitalization, transfer, depreciation, impairment, and disposal in
- accordance with US GAAP, IFRS and Ind AS.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of all fixed asset transactions in the general ledger.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities related to fixed assets, including reconciliations of fixed asset sub-ledger to the general ledger.
- Develop, review, and update fixed asset accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with changing accounting standards (US GAAP, IFRS India GAAP, and any other relevant local regulations).
- Provide guidance and interpretation on complex fixed asset accounting issues.
- Ensure all fixed asset activities adhere to internal controls and audit requirements.
- Calculate and record monthly depreciation for all fixed assets, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies and accounting standards.
- Prepare detailed fixed asset schedules, reports, and reconciliations for management reporting, financial statements, and audit purposes.
- Assist in the preparation of cash flow statements, specifically related to capital expenditure.
- Serve as a key user and subject matter expert for fixed asset modules within Oracle ERP (e.g., Oracle Fixed Assets, Oracle Fusion, Oracle E-Business Suite R12).
- Participate actively in Oracle system implementation, upgrades, or optimization projects, focusing on fixed asset configurations, data migration, testing, and user training.
- Identify and implement process improvements within the fixed asset accounting function utilizing Oracle functionalities.
- Coordinate and support internal and external audits related to fixed assets, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Conduct periodic physical verification of fixed assets and reconcile discrepancies.
- Maintain robust internal controls over fixed assets to safeguard company assets.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with project teams, engineering, operations, and procurement departments to ensure proper capitalization of assets and accurate project cost tracking.
- Provide support and guidance to junior team members on fixed asset accounting matters.
- Education & Certification: Degree in Accountancy with a CA/CPA qualification.
- Fixed Asset Accounting Expertise: 3-4 years of comprehensive, hands-on experience in end-to-end fixed asset accounting, including managing the month end close process for fixed asset modules, ensuring all related compliances, and preparing statutory fixed asset registers.
- GAAP : Working knowledge and proven application of fixed asset accounting principles and standards under both US GAAP, IFRS and Ind-AS.
- Oracle ERP Proficiency: Strong command and demonstrated experience with Oracle's Project Accounting, Fixed Assets, and General Ledger modules.
- Analytical & Autonomous: Highly detail-oriented with a proven ability to work with large datasets, reconcile complex information from multiple sources, and make sound, level-appropriate decisions with limited supervision.
- Collaboration & Compliance: Excellent interpersonal skills for seamless cross functional collaboration (e.g., with asset owners, IT, and other finance teams), coupled with a meticulous approach to ensure impeccable accuracy in asset reporting, audit support, and physical verification practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, data analysis).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial information clearly and concisely.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of project accounting related to capital expenditures.
