- Role belongs to EA CS Segment & specifically towards handling of Sales Specialist Team Lead (Technical Sales) activities for Protection & Automation Service Portfolio. Broadly, Portfolio includes Cybersecurity Services - Patch Management 1-4, Firmware Upgrade, Secured Substation Migration, Busbar Protection Augmentation, Digital Services, SICAM Power Platform related Services - SICAM PAS & SCC, SICAM DLM, HMI, PQ, S8000, SIPROTEC Digital Twin, Network Fault Management SICAM FSI-FCG Soln & Related Service Implementation, SIPROTEC Devices, A8000 Devices, Upgrade / Retrofit / Modernization to above devices. Siemens Substation SCADA Integration / Upgradation Projects, Spare Parts for Protection & Automation Components, Trainings, AMCs, CRP Upgrades & Retrofit Etc.
- In this role, you will work closely with Sales, and cross-functional teams to review specifications, configure solutions, and prepare technical and commercial proposals. You will also provide technical guidance to fellow team members and help improve engineering processes and proposal tools.
- Review and interpret customer technical specifications, understand existing system and requirements for protection, automation, and power distribution systems.
- Independently develop accurate, compliant technical and commercial proposals, including detailed system architectures, bill of materials (BOM), panel layouts, and supporting technical narratives.
- Coordinate with Sales, Engineering, Project Management and Commissioning teams to gather necessary information, clarify requirements, and ensure timely and accurate proposal delivery.
- Interface with customers to answer technical questions, provide clarification, and optimize proposed solutions to meet project objectives and competitive pricing.
- Ensure proposals adhere to relevant standards (IEEE, IEC, UL, NEMA) and identify any risks or deviations.
- Assist in mentoring subordinates, engineers; provide technical expertise and support for their development.
- Collaborate with Sales & Promoter for a clear winning strategy on Case-to-Case Basis.
- Collaborate on updating proposal templates, tools, and documentation; contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate in meetings, dealings with HQ team and site visits; occasional travel (Monthly - Twice Or thrice) may be required.
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills and proactive engagement in assigned task. Quality and result-oriented, having entrepreneurial spirit and strong customer focus
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with at least 5-7 years of experience in Protection & Automation products and services
- Ability to drive the activities for fulfilling the business targets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical document preparation and proposal writing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Basic financial knowledge to understand and participate in ongoing business planning and support the product as well as Service lifecycle management processes.
- Experience with commercial terms and contract negotiations.
- Ability to identify market trends and using this information, work closely with Marketing and Technology to create and justify projects to close the identified gaps.
- Self-starting and autonomous with time management and prioritization ability.
- Experience with Siemens EA Protection & Automation products and software tools (e.g., DIGSI). Hands on Experience with protection relays and their application
- Experience with Automation controllers and their applications, Substation SCADA, Busbar Protection Etc.
- Experience in proposal process automation or CRM/ERP systems such as Sie Sales (Sales force)
- Familiarity with industry standards such as IEEE series, ANSI device functions, or IEC 61850.
- Experience with automation Architectures, Electrical and 2D Layout drawing tools such as AutoCAD, Visio etc.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and understand I/O mapping between devices, relays, and RTUs/PLCs.
- Should have exposure to business of Retrofits & Upgradation projects, Spare parts of Protection & Automation Products and Solutions
- Team Player with Skills to develop a network of trust and collaboration with all internal and external partners involving Sales, Execution, HQ and ICB partners
