- Leading projects for engineering changes in existing Air/Liquid/Hydraulic filtration products through CQP or Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
- Carrying out all project management activities from change initiation to implementation for various types of engineering changes such as qualifying a new supplier, new material, new tool for plastic parts, cost reduction and design changes.
- Communicating and collaborating with Project Leaders, Application Engineers, Sales Representatives, Suppliers, Procurement Teams, Quality and Production Engineers to implement engineering changes or find optimal solutions to problems.
- Utilizing Oracle Business Intelligence to obtain desired information about products and product supply.
- Reviewing engineering drawings and providing design guidance and input on plastic, rubber and sheet metal products.
- Collaborating with Cross-Functional Teams (CFT) to resolve engineering issues according to drawing standards and manufacturing feasibility.
- Demonstrating knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) workflow cycles.
- Proficient in software tools such as NX, Creo, Teamcenter and Oracle BI.
- Providing design guidance and recommending alternative solutions as required.
- Demonstrating design knowledge of engine filtration systems and supporting the development of design drawings to achieve technical objectives consistent with established guidelines, customer requirements and design specifications.
- Demonstrating Knowledge of ECO or ECN, Drafting, PPAP, DVP&R, Dimensional Reports, SPC, Testing & Validation protocols.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field, Advanced degree preferred.
- Japanese Language Expert (Engineering) - JLPT N2 (or higher) - mandatory
- knowledge of NX (NX11 is preferred), Creo, Teamcenter PLM and SharePoint a plus.
- Proficient in MS Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Understanding of industry design standards for geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) principles.
- Experience with plastic part design
- Knowledge of injection, blow, rotational & rubber molding process
- Knowledge of sheet metal pressing & fabrication process
- Familiarity with ECN, Drafting, PPAP, DVP&R, Dimensional Reports, SPC, XFMEA, Testing & Validation protocols.
- Able to communicate effectively at a global level.
- Proficiency in organizing, planning, and coordinating with the Global Team to meet customer expectations.

- 5 to 8 years of professional Engineering, Engineering Tech or Engineering Design work experience.
- Experience in Engine Filtration products.
- Ability to travel approximately 10% per year.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret the engineering documents (drawings, engineering specifications).
- Ability to respond timely & effectively to the critical inquiries / technical issues or complaints.
- Ability to make effective presentations on regular updates & critical issues to global team.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with a wide variety of global personnel.
