The Engineer / Sr Engineer - Production will oversee HDT Truck & Bus assembly line operations at DICV's Oragadam factory. This role requires strong expertise in truck and sub-assembly processes, hands-on experience with production scheduling, troubleshooting of Vehicle defects , and Strong Man power handling.The candidate will be responsible for meeting production targets, optimizing resource utilization, maintaining high-quality standards, and ensuring timely vehicle rollout as per PPS production plan. The position demands active leadership in manpower planning, crisis management, and training of blue-collar associates , Flexi work force and Contract labour.The engineer will also implement continuous improvement initiatives, uphold quality management systems such as IATF & IMS audits, and maintain discipline and 5S standards on the shop floor. Familiarity with manufacturing systems like SAP or MES is essential.
  • Achieve and exceed production targets in truck assembly.
  • Plan and manage manpower effectively, handling crises as they arise.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and quality.
  • Ensure timely vehicle rollout with First Time Through (FTT) targets met.
Maintain and sustain high standards of process and product quality.Train and mentor blue-collar workers to ensure smooth operations.Identify and resolve quality issues with effective countermeasures.Optimize machine and equipment utilization and upkeep.Maintain production tools and equipment in good condition.Enforce 5S principles and discipline on the shop floor.Maintain and comply with Quality Management Systems (IATF).Utilize manufacturing systems like SAP or MES for scheduling and tracking.Apply troubleshooting skills to address assembly line issues promptly.The Engineer / Sr Engineer - Production will oversee HDT Truck & Bus assembly line operations at DICV's Oragadam factory.
