Team Overview Our dedicated IT and System Administration team ensures the stability, integrity, and efficiency of the systems underpinning our client-facing infrastructure. We tackle technical issues, enhance system performance, and optimize applications, operating systems, and storage solutions. Currently, we're in search of an experienced Senior System Administrator in Pune who is enthusiastic about using the latest storage and VMware technologies. Role Responsibilities You will maintain critical IT operations, such as Unix/Linux operating systems, messaging middleware like MQ, EMC storage devices, and application and web servers. You are expected to automate manual processes using scripting languages, including Shell, Perl, and Python. Your role involves applying engineering principles for the acquisition, implementation, design, development, and maintenance of integrated computer systems. Providing technical expertise and recommendations for new IT projects and initiatives to enhance our existing systems will be part of your responsibilities. Troubleshooting and proactive problem-solving, often involving collaboration with external vendors and other stakeholders, will be key. You will establish guidelines and methods for the management of computing systems and components, ensuring the high availability and performance of critical resources. Your tasks include the maintenance and support of a broad range of systems, addressing middleware integration issues, and deploying WebSphere MQ and related software products. Required Skills At least 7 years of experience in managing, supporting, and engineering environments with Linux/Solaris, VMWare ESXi, and vSphere. Proficient in administering systems like Veritas Cluster Server (VCS), IBM WebSphere MQ, WebLogic Application Server, and Apache Webservers. Expertise in Linux, Shell scripting, and networking fundamentals, with a solid understanding of implementing and managing Linux OS, storage hardware solutions (e.g., EMC, Pure Storage), and system backups. Skilled in administering SSO products (AD, SiteMinder, KeyCloak, etc.), with a strong background in project management, application integration, and cloud computing, especially AWS. Demonstrated capability to manage complex IT infrastructure environments successfully. In-depth knowledge of technical concepts including enterprise architecture, SOA, virtualization, servers, databases, network monitoring, firewalls, security, and IT service models (PaaS, IaaS, SaaS). Excellent communication skills, able to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally. A degree in B-Tech / B.E. IT, B.Sc., MCA, or equivalent from an accredited institution.
