Associate Content Ingestion Analyst - PQ We are looking for an Associate Content Ingestion Analyst to help establish a new operations team in Chennai, India. This role will report to a Content Ingestion Manager and will present opportunities to work with multiple ProQuest product lines (PQIS, Dialog, Alexander Street) supporting a variety of manufacturing systems and content types. About you Must have a Bachelor's degree plus at least 1 year experience in transforming scholarly and other content types in a similar industry or through related coursework. Must have ability to review XML, HTML and other markup and understand the mechanics behind website functionality. Basic coding, automation and peer review knowledge or experience is expected. Should have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. It will be great if you also had... Graduate coursework or equivalent experience in Publishing, Business, Library/Information Science, and Customer Service. Experience working with periodicals, periodical acquisitions or a related area. Understanding of delivery methods for electronic content (i.e.: FTP, Web, RSS, Email) and various media storage methods and devices. Understanding of data formats for electronic content (i.e.: TIFF, JPEG, GIF, PDF, HTML, SGML, XML, ASCII, MARC). Knowledge of ProQuest's products. What you will be doing in this role Monitor the currency and completeness of serial publications ingested through a variety of processes (web-harvest, FTP delivery, email, hardcopy, etc.). Communicate with publishers and other content owners to ensure content delivery and resolve content issues. Perform content corrections and resolve errors in the ingestion process. Update internal tracking systems. Contribute to problem solving, collaboration, process improvement, and information sharing. About the Team You will be working with an established North American ingest team that regularly collaborates with content owners, product managers, editorial teams, systems administrators, and manufacturing staff to ensure that our content supports product and platform needs. Hours of Work From 9.00 to 18.00 (Mon - Fri) Note - This is a permanent full-time role in Chennai, India. Working afternoon hours to overlap with the North American team for training/collaboration is desirable.
