Project descriptionTechnology Division is seeking a talented and motivated individual for a Network Engineer position. Responsibilities will include the operational support and maintenance of the enterprise branch network, cloud-based infrastructure architecture and management, documentation and implementation of new solutions, and working high level network escalations from our branch teams. Provide network engineering resources to support core network services (firewall, load balancer and DDI) during core business hours: 8 am to 5 pm CT.
Provide off-hour support of network implementations/validation from 8 pm to 12 am CT.
Utilize Client tools and processes
Service Management: Incident, Change, Service Requests, etc.
Implementation tools and processes
Monitoring and reporting tools
Coordinate with network hardware vendors for related incidents
Firewall Support - Fortinet
Manage firewall rule changes and requests - review request, create change and implement. o Modify, Add, Change and/or Delete firewall objects, groups, security policies or NAT rules
Assist w/ validation/testing as requested
DDI (DNS, DHCP, IP Addressing) - InfoBlox
Setup internal-facing and external-facing DNS
Load Balancer - F5/AVI
Manage load balancer requests
Change resource group/subscription
Manage front end IP configurations (multiple ports, multiple IP addresses)
Modify monitoring parameters
Manage port forwarding
Manage backend pools
Manage health probes
Manage load balancing rules
Manage Inbound NAT rules
Modify LB attributes like session stickiness as required
Modify Listeners as requested
Create or modify tagging as required
Provide remote support services for network devices in scope

SKILLSMust have

Bachelor's degree is preferred or equivalent work experience/certifications in technology
8 or more years of experience supporting network hardware
8 or more years of experience with enterprise network solutions and technologies
Strong analytical network troubleshooting skills to solve complex issues
Experience with Deployment & Support
Experience with Load Balancer - F5/AVI
Experience with Cloud Based Architecture & Management
Experience with Cellular and Wireless technology and support
Experience with packet/protocol analyzers, and network management/monitoring tools
Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to work in a team environment and/or as an individual contributor
