Job Title: Credit Control ManagerDepartment: Accounts
Location: Surat
Reporting To: Sr. Manager AccountsRole PurposeThe Credit Control Manager is responsible for developing and enforcing credit policies, managing receivables, reducing credit risk, and improving cash flow. The role partners closely with sales and senior management to balance business growth with financial discipline.Key ResponsibilitiesCredit Policy & Risk Management
  • Develop, implement, and periodically review credit control policies and procedures.
  • Assess customer creditworthiness and approve credit limits and payment terms.
  • Monitor credit exposure and minimize bad debt risk.
  • Identify high-risk accounts and take proactive corrective action.
Accounts Receivable & Collections
  • Oversee accounts receivable (AR) and ensure timely collections.
  • Monitor ageing reports and reduce overdue outstanding.
  • Drive improvements in DSO (Days Sales Outstanding).
  • Approve escalations such as payment holds, legal notices, or credit suspensions.
Team Leadership & Coordination
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the credit control / AR team.
  • Set collection targets and performance KPIs for the team.
  • Coordinate closely with sales, logistics, and finance teams.
Sales & Customer Interface
  • Partner with sales leadership to align credit decisions with business goals.
  • Resolve complex payment disputes with key customers.
  • Support commercial negotiations while protecting company interests.
MIS, Reporting & Compliance
  • Prepare and present AR dashboards, ageing analysis, and risk reports to management.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and internal controls.
  • Support internal and external audits related to receivables and credit.
Process Improvement & Automation
  • Improve credit control processes through ERP, automation, and standardization.
  • Implement best practices for receivables management.
  • Drive continuous improvement in cash-flow forecasting.

Educational Qualification
  • B.Com / M.Com
  • CA / CA-Inter / MBA (Finance) preferred
Experience
  • 5-7 years of experience in Credit Control / Finance
  • Minimum 3–5 years in a managerial role
  • Experience in dealer / distributor-driven businesses preferred
