Hiring for Network Security Engineer- BangaloreJob Description:As a Network Security Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing robust network security solutions to protect our company's infrastructure. You will play a critical role in securing corporate networks, identifying vulnerabilities, and working with teams to enforce network security policies. Your expertise in TCP/IP, Cisco technologies, and security protocols will help us ensure a secure, efficient, and resilient network environment.Key Responsibilities:Design and implement network security solutions to protect against unauthorized access, cyber-attacks, and data breaches.Configure and manage firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection systems (IDS), intrusion prevention systems (IPS), and other network security technologies.Perform regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing to identify and resolve network security weaknesses.Implement TCP/IP protocols, routing, and network segmentation to ensure secure and efficient traffic flow.Troubleshoot and resolve network security incidents and performance issues in a timely manner.Configure and manage Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls to enforce security policies and monitor network traffic.Monitor network traffic for suspicious activities and use tools like Wireshark, Snort, and NetFlow to analyze traffic patterns and detect anomalies.Implement VPN solutions (site-to-site, remote access) to enable secure communication across distributed networks.Develop and maintain network security policies, guidelines, and best practices.Work with cross-functional teams to ensure secure integration of new systems, applications, and devices into the network infrastructure.Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and internal security requirements (e.g., PCI-DSS, ISO 27001).Provide technical guidance and support for network security issues to other teams within the organization.Keep up to date with the latest trends in network security, cyber threats, and emerging technologies.
