You'll be the go-to expert for sizing and optimizing systems, ensuring our customers' business performance is always world-class.Key Responsibilities:Strategy Development: Develop and implement a modernization strategy for Mainframe Infrastructure that focuses on enhancing innovation, automation, productivity, and efficiency. This includes z/OS/ISV upgrades, PTF management, and the integration of AIOps.Technical Guidance: Provide expert advice and support to Sysprogs on Mainframe modernization, emphasizing the use of Ansible, Python, and other latest tools such as z/OSMF, Watson X for z, and AIOps.Opportunity Identification: Leverage your extensive knowledge of Mainframe architecture to identify and prioritize modernization opportunities.Collaboration: Collaborate closely with Sysprogs, SDMs, vendors, and clients to maximize the use of our capabilities and services.Business Development: Work alongside the sales team to identify and pursue new business opportunities.Industry Awareness: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments related to Mainframe strategies to maintain a competitive edge.At Kyndryl, we're committed to providing the best possible service to our customers, and as a Systems Management Specialist, you'll be an integral part of that mission. Strong knowledge of cutting-edge technology solutions and implementation methodologies.Specialization: Proficiency in Ansible and Python for Mainframe infrastructure modernization.Upgrade Process Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the z/OS and ISV upgrade processes via z/OSMF.Modernization Tools: Familiarity with Mainframe infrastructure modernization tools, including z/OSMF, AIOps, WatsonX for z, and ZOWE.Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adjust to changing priorities.Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Preferred Technical and Professional ExperienceCertifications: Relevant certifications in Mainframe technology or related fields.Project Management: Experience managing complex projects and strategic partnerships.Global Experience: Background in working within a global organization with a diverse customer and partner base.Being YouDiversity is a whole lot more than what we look like or where we come from, it’s how we think and who we are.
