- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that promote children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development
- Create a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and creativity
- Plan and prepare materials for daily activities, projects, and display boards
- Lead engaging activities such as arts and crafts, music and singing, storytelling, and imaginative play
- Incorporate technology and hands-on learning experiences to enhance children's understanding of basic concepts
- Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records and preparing reports for parents
- Communicate regularly with parents through meetings and progress updates
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children by maintaining a clean and organized classroom
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive learning experience
- Adhere to all school policies, procedures, and educational standards
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (preferred)
- Valid teaching certification or license as required by the state
- Previous experience working with preschool-aged children
- Strong understanding of child development principles and age-appropriate teaching methods
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with children, parents, and colleagues
- Creativity and enthusiasm in developing engaging learning activities
- Patience and ability to manage a classroom of young children effectively
- Proficiency in using technology for educational purposes
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Knowledge of health and safety practices in a preschool setting
- Physical ability to engage in activities with children and lift up to 30 pounds
- Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus
