Casting Buyer

• To lead the Procurement for a product group
• Place the schedule to the suppliers based on the PR / RLN after considering the shortage .
• Contact suppliers in order to schedule or expedite deliveries and to resolve shortages, Ensure on time delivery .
• Supports all material cost reduction initiatives for the category(s)
• Ensures the POs are placed on time as per the agreed terms .
• Responsible for meeting inventory targets for the specific category at the plant
• Ensures performance tracking of suppliers on the quality and delivery parameters
• Track the status of requisitions, contracts, and orders
• Provide the status of various orders to the Central Planning team and Product Groups
• Assist in preparing the Procurement MIS and other reports
• Ensure compliance of procurement processes such as Procurement planning, PR to Pay process including GRN and Bill booking on time .
• Follow up with Finance team if required, to get the Payment done to suppliers
