Across our businesses, we are actively modernising our integration landscape to support our growing logistics operations connecting ERP systems, vessel planning tools, port agents, customers, and external partners through reliable B2B and application-to-application messaging.A large part of the role involves B2B integrations in the logistics domain: working with EDI standards such as EDIFACT and X12, designing scalable partner onboarding processes, and ensuring reliable, high-volume document exchange (e.g., booking confirmations, bills of lading, invoices, voyage instructions). You will also architect event-driven integrations between our internal applications using Azure Integration Services, setting patterns that the wider team follows.You will be part of a global business-led product team that operates with a DevOps mentality. It is a collaborative, diverse, fast-paced environment. The role is hands-on but also requires you to take ownership of architectural decisions, guide junior engineers, and ensure solutions are aligned with Stolt-Nielsens business and technical goals.At Stolt-Nielsen, we take Digital seriously.   • Lead the design and development of integrations using Azure Integration Services (Logic Apps, Service Bus, API Management, Functions, Event Hub, Integration Accounts).
  • Architect and build B2B integration solutions with external partners using EDI standards (EDIFACT, X12) and protocols (AS2, SFTP), handling high-volume and business-critical message flows.
  • Design event-driven, inter-application integration patterns (publish/subscribe, choreography, saga) and establish standards that the team follows.
  • Define and manage API strategies (REST, SOAP) for internal and external consumption via Azure API Management, including versioning, policies, and security.
  • Contribute to the overall integration architecture and strategy, making decisions on patterns, tooling, and platform capabilities.
  • Guide and mentor junior integration developers through code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge sharing.
  • Design scalable partner onboarding processes: schema and map management, agreement configuration, and trading partner lifecycle management.
  • Troubleshoot complex integration issues across the platform; perform root cause analysis and drive permanent fixes.
  • Collaborate with DevOps engineers to ensure robust CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and Infrastructure-as-Code for integration deployments.
  • Document integration architecture, patterns, and decisions; maintain runbooks and operational documentation.
  • Perform additional duties and strategic projects as assigned.
What Youll Bring:
  • Bachelors or masters degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in integration development and architecture.
  • Proven experience working in the logistics, shipping, or supply chain industry.
  • Deep expertise in Azure Integration Services (Logic Apps, Service Bus, Functions, Integration Accounts, Event Hub).
  • Strong experience with B2B/EDI standards (EDIFACT, X12) and communication protocols (AS2, SFTP) in a production environment.
  • Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (C#, Python or similar).
  • Solid understanding of event-driven architecture, messaging patterns (pub/sub, queues, topics, sagas) and distributed systems.
  • Experience designing and managing APIs at scale (Azure API Management or similar).
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Bicep, or ARM).
  • Strong analytical thinking, architectural mindset, and collaborative problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
Must Have Skills:
  • Azure Integration Services (Logic Apps, Service Bus, Functions, Integration Accounts, Event Hub, API Management).
  • B2B / EDI (EDIFACT, X12, AS2) in a logistics or supply chain context.
  • Event-driven architecture and messaging patterns.
  • SQL and C# or Python.
  • Git and CI/CD / Infrastructure-as-Code (we use Azure DevOps).
Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience with Azure Event Grid and advanced event routing.
  • Knowledge of BizTalk Server or other legacy integration platforms (for migration projects).
  • Experience with API governance, developer portal management, and API monetization concepts.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics).
  • Experience with Terraform or Bicep for infrastructure provisioning.
  • Exposure to integration patterns in maritime or bulk logistics specifically.
