Job Description Summary: What you need to know about the role: PayPal is looking for a Cybersecurity Incident Response Analyst to join PayPal's Cyber Defense Center (CDC) team. The Security Incident Response Analyst will be responsible for real-time security monitoring and response to various types of cybersecurity incidents. Meet our Team: Team of 12 employees in varying level of the cybersecurity space with varying background upon all working towards protecting PayPal and its brands Job Description: Your way to impact: A successful candidate will have a proven track record in responding to cybersecurity incidents in highly complex environments at scale. They will be our first line of defense in anything related to security. your day to day: Analyze network traffic, endpoint indicators, and various log sources to identify the threat, assess the potential damage, and recommend countermeasures, Propose additional components and techniques that could be used to proactively detect malicious activity Recommend configuration changes to improve the performance, usability, and value of threat analysis tools Communicate with all levels of technology and operational staff, assist in creation and follow methodologies, creating clear, concise deliverables Work with global network engineers to implement security products and process What do you need to bring: Minimum 2 years of experience as a SOC analyst Splunk querying and building dashboard/SIEM experience EDR experience like Carbon Black, Microsoft Defender , McAfee , Crowd strike Cloud Experience: AWS, GCP and Azure We know the confidence gap and imposter syndrome can get in the way of meeting spectacular candidates.
