Software Engineer- Generative Design Summary: The selected candidate will develop Generative Design roadmap and the tools strategy to implement the same across the organization. This position will collaborate with partners to help & document the end-to-end data flow, capability development, and deployment of technologies on Generative Design supporting Digital Transformation Responsibilities . Drive Generative design roadmap including manufacturing and costing aspects with business stake holders & Vendors to align with MBE initiatives. . Experience in usage of Siemens NX/Creo for design and Ansys/Nastran Tool suites for Multiphysics simulation, Materials databases and costing tool such as aPriori. . Good understanding of various manufacturing process including PCB . Good understanding of various CAD systems and their transition to another CAD systems Responsible for overseeing customizing Generative Design Tool settings, templates, and libraries to align with the organization's specific requirements and standards and integration with PLM Should be able to demonstrate the use cases to Business Units and play vital role in successful adoption of GD in Honeywell. Where appropriate, identify problem areas and troubleshoot quality of GD results and processes using insight gained. Interact with design agencies, suppliers, and internal organizations to assist in resolving design development, production, and acceptance issues Provides project leadership for technical and/or administrative product/process changes You Must Have: . 12+ years of experience as a Senior Design Engineer or equivalent . 5+ years of product development experience using Siemens NX/ CREO and Ansys/Nastran preferred . Experience in manufacturing processes that can affect the design or modify design intent and product costing We Value: . Comprehensive knowledge of CAD/CAE/PLM tools, advanced simulation skills, thorough knowledge of procedures and products acquired through technical training and/or a bachelor's/Master's degree in an appropriate field. . Ability to evaluate and improve methods/ processes and recognize alternative possibilities, and recommend the best choice(s) . Demonstrates the ability to implement new technology and ideas at the organization level and implement Digital Twin . Consistently demonstrates the ability to complete projects when adverse situations arise successfully . Ability to use standard mathematical models, as applicable, to predict test results . Ability to understand the scope of technical problems and develop solutions with little or no guidance from others
