Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. 8 years of experience in software development with C/C++. Experience in embedded software/firmware design, device driver development, and RTOS/embedded OS environment. Preferred qualifications: Master's degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering. Experience working with embedded processors, Android, Linux kernel, drivers, and BSP. Experience working on commercial wearable/mobile products. Experience in performance analysis and optimization particularly in the domains of embedded systems. Responsibilities Design, development and support for the Pixel watch System Software, including contributing to BSP/kernel/storage, new board/IP bringup, thermal, charging and working with siicon vendor teams. Find solutions to unique problems faced while making a product worth launching, pay close attention to user journeys and experiences. Focus on power/performance/battery life and overall software quality and stability. Work with cross-functional teams to propose and drive new changes and features to WearOS/Android as well as lighting up new features on Pixel Watches.
