You will be part of the Process Engineering team. This team runs on coffee and the challenge of figuring out how to produce and validate batteries, chargers, and connectors at scale. What Will You Do - As an Industrial Engineer you will Stitch together a process flow & station definition to generate an efficiently integrated production system of man, material, machines & methods in order to eliminate wastage of time, energy, and money. You will primarily be responsible to - Define & manage work instruction / SOP's, calculate manufacturing process work content using motion time study, and develop line design model with operation head count Develop factory layout for optimal process design of manufacturing line & warehouse facility and perform capacity planning calculations Execute lean manufacturing, continuous improvement & ergonomic assessment projects on the production floor Evaluate advanced manufacturing technologies, and various automation solutions, compute ROI, and recommend solutions Support NPI projects to evaluate end-to-end manufacturing feasibility, and develop plans for establishing new projects Abide by and adhere to all ethics and labor guidelines as set forth by the company to ensure compliance with Environmental Health and Safety requirements and guidelines Innovate - material flow, conversion cost improvement, and overall plant efficiency gains Ideal candidate requires - Ability to break down a manufacturing process into more fundamental steps, and identify the VA/NVA for the same Ability to create and analyze VSM, lead kaizen events and drive productivity improvements on the shop floor Prior experience in conceptualizing & implementing integrated line design & layout solutions for mixed model systems Prior experience in implementing IE for Green or Brownfield projects is good to have Upto 7 years experience in the relevant field About Us Exponent simplifies energy for EVs.
