We are seeking a patient, compassionate, and skilled Special Needs Educator to support the academic, emotional, and social development of children with diverse disabilities. The ideal candidate will design and implement individualized learning plans that promote inclusion, independence, and self-confidence in a nurturing environment.Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess the individual needs, learning styles, and developmental levels of students with disabilities.
  • Develop and deliver Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) or customized teaching strategies tailored to each student's goals and abilities.
  • Use specialized teaching methods and tools, including visual aids, assistive technology, and sensory materials.
  • Foster a supportive and structured learning environment that promotes positive behavior and emotional well-being.
  • Work closely with families, therapists, psychologists, and general educators to coordinate support plans.
  • Track and document student progress through observation, assessments, and regular reporting.
  • Modify classroom materials and environment as needed to accommodate physical, emotional, or cognitive challenges.
  • Encourage life skills, communication, and social interaction through structured activities and play.
  • Conduct regular parent meetings and offer strategies for reinforcement at home.
  • Maintain compliance with all special education policies, safety protocols, and data confidentiality standards.
RequirementsQualifications & Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Psychology, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Certification in Special Education, Inclusive Education, or related credentials as per local regulations.
  • 2+ years of experience working with children with intellectual, developmental, physical, or emotional disabilities.
  • Strong knowledge of IEPs, behavior modification techniques, and inclusive teaching strategies.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Empathy, patience, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
  • Familiarity with assistive technology and adaptive communication tools (e.g., PECS, AAC) is a plus.
Preferred Experience:
  • Working with specific conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Down Syndrome, ADHD, cerebral palsy, or learning disabilities.
  • Exposure to behavioral therapy frameworks (e.g., ABA, TEACCH, Montessori for Special Needs).
  • Experience in inclusive or mainstream classrooms with children requiring additional support.
