- Responsible for deployment and management support of x86 - Linux
- Redhat Linux OS installation, configuration, upgrade and patching
- Expertise in Linux OS Administration, including patching and package management/maintenance
- Responsible for deployment and management support of x86 - Linux
- Redhat Linux OS installation, configuration, upgrade and patching
- Expertise in Linux OS Administration, including patching and package management/maintenance
- Optimizing physical and virtual systems and resource utilization, while continuing to provide system capacity analysis and planning
- Troubleshoot Linux OS performance/hang related issues
- Troubleshoot Linux OS Cluster related issues
- Manage and support issues related to OS Patching, HW Firmware upgrades
- Manage virtual machines through VMware vSphere console
- Able to provide support during Microsoft SQL, Oracle DB installation and troubleshooting
- Must be able to troubleshoot hardware and software issues and Escalate the issues to relevant Vendors
- Supporting a virtualized Cloud environment and its underlying infrastructure
- Prepare System related issues RCA's post in depth analysis done and fix them for non occurrance
- Support System annual maintenace related activies (Offline/Online)
- Analyze repeated issues related to Server Hardware, OS performance and fix them
- Identify areas of improvement and apply the automation to avoid manual efforts
- System security vulnerability identification and remediation
- Operating System install experience; familiar with automated deployments (Kickstart, Satellite, etc)
- Scripting experience - BASH/shell, Python, Perl, or similar
- System performance monitoring and troubleshooting (Zenoss, Cacti, Nagios, PRTG etc.)
- High Availability RedHat Clustering experience
- Good Comm Skills and Strong documentation skills
- Follow process such as ITSM (CI management, Change management, Incident management, etc)
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
