This role involves managing the budget for forest diversion, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance, and maintaining stakeholder relations, while also focusing on documentation, reporting, and the smooth transition of project-affected individuals. Additionally, responsible for liaising with local leaders and authorities, mutation of lands, land registration, compensatory afforestation, and land records management.Responsibilities:LA&RR Cluster or Site Lead - Underground MiningLand Acquisition:Lead all activities in the procurement of private land, forest department land, and government land for site projects, collaborating with private landowners, government officials, and relevant stakeholders.Determine land values in the specific market through research and consultation with real estate professionals and public records.Manage the budget for forest diversion processes in cordination with the project team.Rehabilitation & Resettlement (R&R):Address rehabilitation and resettlement issues of project-affected local village people, ensuring their smooth transition and well-being.Obtain Head and management approvals for employing project affected people and manage relations with local village leaders to ensure zero disturbances.Maintain land records and ensure compliance with R&R policies and regulations.Legal and Regulatory Compliance:Obtain approvals for compensatory afforestation and necessary certificates such as non-encumbrance certificate and land possession certificate from relevant authorities.Liaise with forest and revenue officials for land survey, registration, mutation of land records, and other statutory clearances.Handle legal and court matters related to title verification of land, lease settlement of government land, and compensatory afforestation.Review Necessary Forest Area (NFA) documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements.Stakeholder Management:Liaise with government officials including Patwari, Tehsildar, SDM, Collector, and other authorities for mining projects.Manage relations with local village leaders, community representatives, and government officials to facilitate smooth project execution and minimize conflicts.Liaise with stakeholders up to the sub-divisional level in case of disputed land for clearance purpose, with further coordination managed by Corporate Affairs.Documentation and Reporting:Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of land acquisition and R&R activities.Validate reports prepared by Site Executive and documentation for management review and regulatory compliance.Operational Digital Excellence:Employ digital tools and platforms to manage land acquisition and reclamation projects, ensuring effective execution and alignment with organizational goals.Implement digital solutions to track project progress, manage resources, and streamline communication across multiple sites.Key Stakeholders - InternalCentral LA&RR HeadHODsProjects teamLegal DepartmentCorporate AffairsKey Stakeholders - ExternalVillagersLocal LeadersPatwariTehsildar SDM & CollectorASP, SPDGMS OfficialsSPCB & MOEFCC OfficialsQualifications:Work Experience (Range of years):10-12 years of work experience in relevant field.
