Lead the procurement and sourcing function across domestic and global markets. The CPO will be responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies, optimising vendor partnerships, ensuring cost efficiency, and driving supply chain resilience to support operational and growth objectives.Strategic Sourcing & Procurement Leadership
  • Define and execute the procurement strategy in alignment with company goals and production plans.
  • Lead sourcing and contract negotiations for key categories including raw materials (steel, aluminum, polymers), machined parts, fasteners, electronic components, and indirect spend.
  • Establish and optimize supplier panels across local and international geographies.
Vendor Management & Development
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost, and delivery benchmarks.
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard strategic partners and alternate suppliers to mitigate risks and drive innovation.
  • Lead supplier performance reviews and corrective action initiatives.
Cost Optimization & Value Engineering
  • Drive cost savings through commercial negotiations, localisation, and VA/VE initiatives.
  • Benchmark pricing, analyse commodity trends, and maintain cost transparency.
Operations & Supply Chain Alignment
  • Collaborate closely with manufacturing, quality, logistics, and R&D teams to ensure procurement supports operational efficiency and new product development.
  • Ensure timely availability of materials to support production schedules without overstocking.
Governance, Compliance & Systems
  • Implement procurement policies, ethical sourcing practices, and supplier audits.
  • Leverage ERP systems and digital tools to drive visibility, process automation, and spend analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, environmental, and regulatory standards.
Team Leadership
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing procurement team across multiple plants or locations.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, agility, and continuous improvement.

  • B.E./B.Tech and MBA.
  • Minimum 20 years of experience in procurement/sourcing, preferably in automotive or engineering component manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of global and domestic supplier ecosystems in the auto component industry.
  • Proven track record in cost optimisation, strategic sourcing, and vendor development.
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and data-driven decision-making.
