Plant Head

• Define and execute the overall operations strategy covering Production, Warehouse, Engineering & Maintenance, Utilities, HSE, and Administration.
• Drive operational readiness for regulated markets through robust GMP practices, documentation discipline, and cross-functional alignment with QA/QC.
• Lead capacity planning, productivity improvement, and cost optimization initiatives without compromising safety, quality, or compliance
• Build a high-performance culture focused on safety, compliance, reliability, and continuous improvement (Lean, TPM, Six Sigma) Partner with QA/QC, Regulatory, and R&D to ensure seamless technology transfer, scale-up, and compliant commercialization.
• Establish and track plant-level KPIs for delivery, cost, safety, sustainability, and people development.
• Ensure achievement of production plans in line with quality, safety, and delivery targets Oversee process optimization, yield improement, cycle-time reduction, and waste minimization.
• Ensure compliant receipt, storage, issuance, and dispatch of materials as per GMP and EHS norms Drive inventory optimization, traceability, and on-time dispatch performance.
• Ensure high equipment availability through preventive and predictive maintenance Lead equipment qualification, capacity expansion, and technology upgrades.
• Ensure uninterrupted availability of utilities (power, steam, water systems, HVAC, effluent treatment) with statutory compliance. Drive energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives.
• Own plant safety culture, statutory compliance, risk assessments, and incident management Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, waste management, and occupational health standards.
• Oversee facility management, security, statutory compliances, and administrative servicesEnsure smooth coordination with corporate functions for people, finance, IT, and procurement.

• Production plan adherence. Target vs Actual Throughput, yield improvement, and cycle-time reduction.
• Conversion cost per kg / unit OEE improvement and reduction in breakdown hours scores.
• Zero fatality / LTIFR / recordable incidents Compliance with environmental norms and audit outcomes.
• Audit outcomes related to production, warehouse, engineering, and utilities Timely closure of deviations, change controls, and CAPAs within operations.
• Attrition of critical roles, training coverage, and competency development.Implementation of CI projects and team engagement scores.
• Strong understanding of GMP operations, plant compliance, and regulatory expectations for API manufacturing Expertise in production planning, process optimization, and scale up.
• Knowledge of utilities, ETP, HVAC, equipment qualification, and maintenance systems.
• Working knowledge of HSE regulations, statutory compliances, and environmental norms.
• Proficiency in Lean, TPM, Six Sigma, and operational excellence frameworks.
