- Manages engineering activities from tender to validation phases.
- Ensures that the development is in in line with the customer & product line requirements in compliance with QCD commitments of Engineering
- Q: Achieve DFQ objectives
- C: Achievement of target price; Respect of engineering work package budget
- D: On-Time Technical Reviews and Gate Reviews
- Assume technical responsibility for railway traction electric machines, induction or permanent magnets.
- Write specifications clause by clause, identify gaps and adapt machine accordingly.
- Design electrical machines with consideration to mechanical, thermal and acoustic constraints
- Lead development activities within the engineering department and cooperate and collaborate with internal departments.
- Ensure the implementation of the projects according to the design for quality standards.
- Propose product improvements in terms of performance and reliability solutions
- Take charge of R & D topics in terms of results, in compliance with the required quality standards
- Aptitude to communicate in English
- Able to be creative when involved on R&D subjects
- Experience of 3 to 8 years in electric machines
- Experience in thermal field for electric machines
- Expert in simulation tools including Flux2D, Matlab
