Job Description : Are you passionate about shaping the future of computer and IT-related content BPB Publications is seeking a skilled Copy Editor to work directly with authors to create high-quality manuscripts. As a Copy Editor, you will collaborate with the authors (that may be of Indian/foreign origin), to share editorial feedback to help create engaging and informative books that cater to our diverse audience. Responsibilities: Copy Editors work closely with the author(s) to develop content and provide editorial support for them as per the BPB Style Guidelines & templates which includes but is not limited to - grammar checks, sentence rephrasing, para phrasing, checking the structure/flow of the content. Conducting research on the technology of the topic they have been assigned so that you have some basic understanding of the technology. Address queries or concerns raised by the technical reviewers and authors. Scheduling activities to ensure that content is received in a timely manner, and also accommodates any delays that occur. As Copy Editors will be handling multiple titles/authors at a time, you should be good at multi-tasking and maintaining a track of follow-ups and deadlines. Work both independently and in a distributed team environment, and reliably meet deadlines.
