The counsellor provides confidential guidance to students facing personal, academic, or behavioural challenges, helping them navigate obstacles and achieve their full potential. By building trusting relationships, conducting individual and group counselling sessions, and collaborating with faculty and parents, the Student Counsellor contributes significantly to student retention, well-being, and overall institutional success. This role demands empathy, strong interpersonal skills, and a deep commitment to student growth, making it a cornerstone of holistic education.*Responsibilities*- Conduct one-on-one and group counselling sessions to support students’ emotional, psychological, and academic needs.- Identify early signs of academic stress, anxiety, or behavioural issues and implement timely interventions.- Maintain accurate and confidential student records, including progress notes and intervention plans.- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrative staff to develop individualised support plans for students.- Organize and facilitate workshops on topics such as stress management, time management, peer relationships, and career planning.- Serve as a liaison between students and school leadership to advocate for student needs and promote a supportive school culture.- Support students during transitions (e.g., new admissions, grade changes, or graduation) with targeted guidance.- Promote mental health awareness through campaigns, events, and resource dissemination.- Stay updated on best practices in student counselling and educational psychology through continuous professional development.Requirements*Requirements*- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Counselling, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).- 1–3 years of experience in student support services, counselling, or educational settings.- Strong understanding of adolescent development, learning disabilities, and mental health issues.- Excellent communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills.- Ability to maintain confidentiality and ethical standards in all interactions.- Proficiency in using digital tools for record-keeping, scheduling, and communication.- Demonstrated empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for student well-being.- Flexibility to work during school hours and occasional after-hours events or meetings.*Note: This role may require working in a hybrid or on-site capacity depending on institutional policy.*BenefitsInterested candidates please share resume
