Job Description:Job Title: Senior Engineer Payments & CardsCorporate Title: AVPLocation: Pune, IndiaRole DescriptionEngineer is responsible for managing or performing work across multiple areas of the bank's overall IT Platform/Infrastructure including analysis, development, and administration. It may also involve taking functional oversight of engineering delivery for specific departments. Work includes:
  • Planning and developing entire engineering solutions to accomplish business goals
  • Building reliability and resiliency into solutions with appropriate testing and reviewing throughout the delivery lifecycle
  • Ensuring maintainability and reusability of engineering solutions
  • Ensuring solutions are well architected and can be integrated successfully into the end-to-end business process flow
  • Reviewing engineering plans and quality to drive re-use and improve engineering capability
  • Participating in industry forums to drive adoption of innovative technologies, tools and solutions in the Bank.

Your key responsibilitiesThis role is for a Senior Engineer Mainframe who will be responsible for
  • You will design, develop and maintain critical mainframe application in the payments landscape.
  • You will ensure that engineering solutions are aligned with business goals, ensure that solutions are well architected, with maintainability and ease of testing built in from the outset.
  • You will provide engineering thought leadership within their teams and will play a role in mentoring and coaching of less experienced engineers.
  • You will liaise with Product Owners to capture feature enhancements.
  • You will work with vendor team on development projects, create/review technical documents and plan/execute production implementation.
  • To ensure a stable and maintainable production environment, you will be the Subject Mater Expert as part of the L3 Support.
  • In case of incidents and business requests, you will be actively involved in the incident and request analysis and drive the problem resolution.
Your skills and experience
  • Have design and development experience on Cobol, JCL, DB2, CICS, MQ, Stored Procs and SQL
  • Experience in banking domain, specifically payments will be an added plus
  • Experience with Agile/SCRUM environment.
  • Familiar with Agile Team management tools (JIRA, Confluence)
  • Good communication skills
  • Pro-active team player
  • Comfortable working in multi-disciplinary, self-organized teams
  • Professional knowledge of English
