- Plan and co-ordinate full migration from current CSM applications to JIRA Service Management
- Gather requirements and inputs needed to determine clearly defined JIRA workflows, architecture and automation.
- Gather requirements and inputs needed to construct JIRA dashboards and reports for high-level snapshots of progress and status, to be used by Engineering, Product, Support & Operations
- Analyze, review, and document current functionality to determine potential areas of improvement
- Configure JIRA and JIRA Service Management to specified requirements for Support, Operations, Engineering and management teams, including service portals and knowledge bases.
- Administer and maintain JIRA environments post-implementation; suggest and implement optimizations based on user behaviour.
- Investigate issues with notifications, workflow, permissions etc.
- Perform system and application management activities, such as scheduling jobs, backing up data, recurring maintenance actions.
- Assess, set up, and maintain third-party connections, integrations, and applications, including using webhooks and APIs and testing new versions of the tools and plug-ins to verify compatibility.
- Improve JIRA security. Manage access permissions for projects, spaces and tools according to the needs of projects and teams.
- Create standardized templates for functional requirements documents, technical architecture
- documentation, and user stories.
- Assist with development of training documentation that can be used to roll out JIRA, JIRA Service Management and Confluence to the organization
- Act as a subject matter expert on JIRA, providing guidance and hands-on support to teams and users during the adoption of JIRA Service Management, and the continuing use of JIRA
- Investigate, use and advocate for industry-standard and best practices
- Communicate and share knowledge with stakeholders and contacts at all levels
- Maintain relevant technical documentation
- Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science or related discipline
- 4+ years' experience as JIRA Administrator with experience customizing JIRA projects with various schemes, complex workflows, screen schemes, permission schemes, and notification schemes
- Minimum of 3-5 years' hands-on experience working with the Atlassian product suite, with expert level knowledge of Confluence and JSM
- Completion of at least 1 full migration in to JIRA Service Management and experience in performing Atlassian and plug-in installations
- Ability to write custom JQL (JIRA Query Language)
- Understanding of industry best practices for using JIRA and JIRA Service Management
- Familiar with Agile project management methodologies and SDLC principles
- Must have strong work ethic with good time management skills
- Business analysis experience, is desirable
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment with challenging deadlines and fast-changing requirements
- Can build and maintain good working relationships with technical and business stakeholders
- Have excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
