  • Job Purpose
  • The Flight Instructor will support the CFI/DCFI to ensure flight training quality and curriculum standards at the Air India FTO across locations, and to maintain security and safety standards in trainings.
  • Key Accountabilities
  • Impart flying training as per their privilege mention in Aircraft Rule 1937, Schedule II, Section -R.
  • Adhere to approved syllabus as per Training & Procedure Manual
  • Flight Instructors will ensure quality of training is given to all trainees in prescribed period.
  • Closely monitor progress of their trainees and work as team to ensure safe flying operations.
  • Flight Instructors shall help in planning, coordinating, and monitoring the student pilots' program.
  • Flight Instructors shall do briefing /de-briefing of student pilots, this is to include the long brief, pre-flight brief, and post-flight brief etc. including using FOQA analysis
  • Maintain the student pilots flight reports on time and to process accordingly.
  • Assist CFI & Dy. CFI in monitoring and developing the highest possible personal qualities and discipline of the student pilots.
  • Always adhere to Standard Operating Procedures of the FTO.
  • Flight Instructors will conduct Flying Simulator Training as well as scheduled by Operations.
  • They will keep them self-current with DGCA Regulations, revisions in TPM, revisions in SOPs and FOB.
  • Ensure proper documentation is conducted pre and post flying/simulator exercises.
  • Ensure adherence to standardized training practices across the cohort
  • Flying Instructors shall complete their eGCA tasks on time.
Any other additional responsibility could be assigned to the role holder from time to time
as a standalone project or regular work. The same would be suitably represented in the Primary responsibilities and agreed between the incumbent, reporting officer and HR.

  • 1,000+ hours of flight time
  • 500+ hours of instructional flying
  • Experience with aircrafts similar to Air India FTO
  • Existing ratings required to perform the duties listed
