And if that’s you we would love to have you join us!Job DescriptionSummary:Rockwell Automation's Safety, Sensing & Industrial Components Business is seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead a product team of experience engineers on all stages of software development lifecycle, including design, implementation, and testing activities for industry-leading software. The preferred candidate will be experienced in the areas of engineering management, including recruitment, task assignments, technical mentoring, performance evaluations, people development. You will be asked to collaborate with Software, Architecture, and Test engineering peers to ensure the timely development of high-quality products. You will have a hybrid work schedule based in Hinjewadi, Pune Office and will report to a Senior Manager based in US.Your Responsibilities:

Drive new product support continuation engineering projects with superior quality and on-time delivery.
Responsible for continuous development/ improvement and motivating a software development team
Partner with local and remote teams to lead alignment and collaboration.
Design project plans, schedules, and present to relevant team members, drive execution.
Responsible for team building, frequent assessment and evaluation of direct reports.
Support recruitment, and developing onboarding/ training plans.

The Essentials - You Will Have:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
Overall 15 and more years of experience and a minimum of 7+ years of experience in software design and development.
A minimum of 3+ years of experience in people management.
Hands-on software development experience using Microsoft developer platforms.
Proven ability to analyse and solve complex problems involving hardware and Software.
Familiarity with Agile Scrum/SAFe processes
Able to work independently and meet deadlines.
Able to travel locally and internationally if required.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

10+ years of experience in software design and development
Experience developing products that are Functional Safety certified
Knowledge of safety standard IEC 61508
Understanding of communication protocols, such as RS-232, USB, Ethernet, IO Link, CIP
Proficient in Angular, C#, .net
Experience with standard version control systems, CI/CD setup and configuration
Familiarity with Rockwell Automation controllers, and software tools
