You’ll work alongside a collaborative and highly motivated team of professionals.You'll play a key role in delivering validation campaigns aligned with test plans and test cases in real or simulated environments. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business, including system, project, product, quality, and safety teams, ensuring QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery) commitments are met. You’ll also contribute to workload estimation, align with scheduling, and ensure adherence to strict processes and standards.You’ll specifically take care of functional testing at sub-system or system levels, as well as designing and validating test environments and tools, but also perform investigations on defects and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.We’ll look to you for:Performing functional testing using NI TestStand tools and related verification activitiesSpecifying and designing overall tests, including test architecture and test casesPreparing and conducting test sessions, producing test reports, and raising associated change requestsDeveloping and validating test environments and toolsEnsuring test traceability against requirementsManaging V&V work products under configuration managementCollaborating with global teams to address challenges and deliver solutionsEnsuring adherence to software, V&V, and safety processesAll about youWe value passion and attitude over experience. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in Engineering – IT, CS, ECE, EEE, or equivalent4+ years of experience in verification and validation of complex embedded systemsExperience with requirement/functional-based testing on host and target-based environmentsProficiency with NI TestStand suiteKnowledge of scripting languages such as Python or Perl for automationExperience in defect management and functional defect identificationStrong understanding of test life cycles, defect life cycles, and testing conceptsProblem-solving and debugging skills, with the ability to identify root causes in complex systemsExperience with tools like ClearQuest, Git, Reqtify, and DOORSFamiliarity with standards such as CENELEC SIL4 or DO178BKnowledge of communication protocols like TCP/IPDomain knowledge in railway signalling is desirable, but experience in avionics or other engineering domains is also welcomeThings you’ll enjoy Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career.
