Through our recruitment, career development and employee-focused programming, we are committed to fostering a welcoming and inclusive work environment where high-performance talent of diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives can build careers within this exciting and growing industry.Job DescriptionReporting relationshipsReports to: Managing Director (London), Senior Team Manager (Mumbai)Primary functions & responsibilitiesCommercial ResultsServe as a trusted voice to the internal SRM & IR Team on materials, investor focus areas, and fund dataFully task manages the Mumbai IR team that involves coordinating the team to prepare deliverables in time to meet reporting cycle deadlines without delayDifferentiate themselves as a critical member of the IR Mumbai team in carrying out more complex subject matter expert workstreams with little help and intervention from senior team membersRecognize which inbound queries (internal and external) the Mumbai-based team can address and react accordinglyMain point-of-contact for Associates and Analysts on IR Mumbai projects within a specific productDemonstrated ability to answer in-depth ad hoc investor inquiries independentlySupports content creation using their product knowledge to craft effective marketing messagesContinue to seek and implement efficiencies across management of tasksCommunicationIntermediate presentation skills; trusted to present product-specific information to internal stakeholders across the Mumbai officeExcellent written communicator demonstrated through quarterly reports, responses to clients and tailored product-specific updates (where applicable)Able to provide constructive feedback to Associates and Analysts to help improve their verbal and written communication skillsTeam & LeadershipActively participates in hiring and developing junior resources to create a culture of engagement, motivation, and positivity.Informally lead/mentor junior team members in both day-to-day work and team projects; manages processes to deliver materialsHelp manage underperforming candidates to bring them in line with expectations for their gradeUnderstands where to prioritize time for highest impact and redirects workstreams to most critical areas of focus and valuePersonal Impact & EffectivenessRecognition of gaps in own skill-set, strong judgement and decision making, communicating with conviction, humility, process improvement mindset and handling ‘the grey’ areasContinued maturity that aligns with the firms growth, using a solutions orientated mindset, to overcome internal obstacles and limitationsRaise awareness of their role and impact within the team, also across the local office, where there is not necessarily always an obvious path to create visibility of their impactAble to build relationships with global team members and across Investment teams within Mumbai as well as broader Management team within the region.QualificationsEducation: MBA/ CA and bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or another pre-professional field, or a discipline with exposure to accounting or corporate finance.Experience Required: 12+ years of relevant work experience. Investment banking / Asset Management firm / Alternative Investments / Credit or Private Equity Investor Relations.General Requirements:Detail orientedTeam management experience and coachingStrong modeling skillsExperience with asset management systems or other relational databasesExperience at a regional, national, or global financial services firmSelf-starter, exceptional communication and organizational skills necessaryAbility to work independently as well as with “the team”Excellent oral and written communication skills and computer literacyKnowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, OutlookReporting Relationships Managing Director, Credit IRThere is no set deadline to apply for this job opportunity.
