Each day, you will act as the first point of contact in Research and Development for specific product-related issues and maintenance. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying, proposing, and implementing innovative solutions.The work model for the role is: #LI HybridThis role is contributing to the Process Automation of Process Industry Business in Bangalore Location.You will be mainly accountable for:

Responsible for developing optimization modeling frameworks, performing mathematical modeling of real generation units, and supporting project teams with general modeling inquiries
Should have a strong understanding of mathematical modeling, linear optimization techniques, and a basic knowledge of physical modeling. Knowledge of power generation — particularly in backpressure or condensing power plants
Responsible for design, and implementation of software solutions within PI Digital Business Line for global process industries.

Qualifications for the role:

Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, MCA, Software Engineering, or related technical field with overall experience of 3-8 years.
Should also have experience with at least one major programming language, such as C# or Python. Familiarity with mathematical programming languages such as GAMS or AMPL, or modelling Python/Julia libraries like Pyomo or JuMP, is also considered beneficial.
Proficient in Control Theory, Model Identification and Optimization algorithms (both linear and non-linear).
Deep knowledge of Object-oriented programming and Design patterns & principles.
Timeseries database experience is beneficial.
