Job RequirementsBusiness: Wholesale BankingFunction/ Department: Wholesale Banking RiskJob Purpose:To manage and oversee the bank’s lending process for Financial Institutions (FI), including evaluating creditworthiness, credit scoring models, maintaining portfolio quality, and ensuring alignment with regulatory and internal policy frameworks. The role holder will collaborate with credit systems support teams to implement key credit policy criteria in relevant credit acceptance and evaluation systems.Roles & Responsibilities:· Facilitate regular asset quality reviews with analytical insights to identify risks and opportunities, recommending appropriate actions.· Research and evaluate clients’ creditworthiness, particularly within the Financial Institutions segment.· Approve or reject loan requests based on credibility and potential revenue/loss impact.· Calculate and set interest rates; negotiate loan terms with clients to mitigate risk.· Review and update credit policies and risk acceptance criteria in response to changes in legal, regulatory, market, or business conditions.· Develop and maintain credit scoring models for risk assessment.· Follow up with clients to manage debt settlements and loan renewals.· Ensure adherence to bank guidelines and regulatory standards.· Maintain records of all bank loans; monitor loan payments and manage bad debts.· Conduct portfolio analysis, trigger reviews, and support delinquency control.· Share best practices and insights across the team to enhance decision-making.Secondary Responsibilities:· Recommend process and policy improvements across the Wholesale Banking business to enhance operational efficiency and customer service.· Collaborate with internal stakeholders to leverage synergies and drive strategic outcomes.Key Success Metrics:· Portfolio Quality· Risk-adjusted Returns· Compliance with Credit Policy and Regulatory Guidelines
