- 7+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 5+ years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3+ years of work experience with a PhD, OR 9+ years of relevant work experience.
- Bachelor degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Electrical or other relevant engineering field
- Solid understanding various AWS services such as VPC, Subnet, NACLs, Security groups, Service Control policy, EC2 Autoscaling group, Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, DynamoDB, etc.
- Experience designing, building, and running production systems in cloud or migrating to the cloud such as AWS, practicing infrastructure as code, automated testing, autoscaling, and self-healing
- Experience automating system tasks and infrastructure using a scripting language (Golang, and Python), with configuration management tools (Ansible), service registry and discovery tools (Consul and Vault, etcd), infrastructure orchestration tools (Ansible, and Terraform), and automated imaging tools (Packer)
- Experience using and optimizing monitoring and observability systems (Sysdig, Prometheus, Grafana), log aggregation systems (ELK, Splunk, Fluentd), familiar with emerging OpenTelemeter standards
- Deep understanding of the Software Development Process including Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CICD) pipeline tools such Jenkins and GitLab. Familiar container deployments in Kubernetes environments using tools such as ArgoCD or Flux
- Able to understand the security tools and standard methodologies such as CIS Benchmarking, OS hardening, vulnerability scanning, and system auditing
- Strong analytical skills and able to work independently to solve sophisticated engineering problems. Make independent judgments and decisions within established guidelines
- Outstanding organizational, communication, interpersonal, relationship building skills conducive to collaboration. Able to work well in a global matrix management environment.
