Functional position : PIPING 3D ENGINEER / DESIGNER (A) Job Description : Working in a team led by Lead/Area Lead; Undertaking below tasks (1) Piping planning based on P&ID and clash-free routing in 3D model. (2) Extracting piping deliverables from 3D model. (3) Updation of 3D model based on Equipment Vendor drawing. Commenting on Equipment Vendor drawing vis- -vis Piping requirements. (4) Resolving model review tags. (5) Preparing 3D model snapshots (with required mark-up) for quick discussion and resolution of engineering issues. (B) Knowledge Base / Soft Skills (1) Hands-on experience in (i) Modelling of Piping and Equipments in 3D model. (ii) Extraction of deliverables from 3D model Piping Isometrics Piping GA drawings Pipe Support drawings Piping BOQ (MTO) (iii) 3D model navigation in Navisworks (iv) Clash resolution procedure based on Clash Reports (2) Good understanding of : (i) P&IDs (ii) Equipment data sheets and Vendor drawings (iii) Piping layout and routing fundamentals (iv) Reading Piping Material Specification (PMS), specifically the branching table (v) Pipe supports (vi) Nozzle Orientation principles (vii) Accessibility and maintenance requirements of inline piping components (viii) Tie-in packages (ix) Interfaces with Piping Stress Analysis group. Below experience will be an added advantage (a) Working with Laser Scan Inputs. (b) Coordination with Stress Group. (c) Competency in AutoCad. (d) Exposure to Brownfield / Turnaround / MOC projects involving interfaces with existing facilities. (e) Awareness of Piping Material Engineering basics. (f) Good working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Paint. JOB DESCRIPTION (C) Position specific requirements (1) Sector Oil & Gas and/or Chemical (2) Educational Qualification Mechanical Engineering Degree / Diploma from a reputed institute. (3) Software exposure E3D, Navisworks (4) Experience 5-10 years experience in Piping Detail Engineering of Oil & Gas and/or Chemical projects, executed on a 3D model platform
