Branch has raised over $100 million from leading Silicon Valley investors, including Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) and Visa.With over 32 million downloads, Branch is one of the most popular finance apps in the world.Job OverviewAs Head of Corporate Development, you will be working closely with global CXOs and MDs to shape business strategy & drive equity fundraising for the global business. The global business has already raised $100 million in equity from top tier American investors — a16z, Visa, Khosla, IFC, etc for the thesis that AI can revolutionize financial services across emerging markets. You will build from here — with a focus on attracting the best set of Indian strategic and global investors — towards a successful IPO.Roles & Responsibilities
  • Drive equity fundraise processes end-to-end, meeting critical timelines while working with internal and external stakeholders
  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional due diligence processes covering tax, legal, financial, commercial and technical work-streams
  • Prepare impactful business case decks, information memorandums, teasers and other transaction-related materials for internal and external stakeholders
  • Relationship/stakeholder management with current and potential investors to keep them updated, engaged, and excited about the company's business and its prospects.
  • Supporting the creation of short-term as well as long-term business plans / financial models with underlying assumptions, historical financials, KPI build-up etc.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, including periodic filings, disclosures, and adherence to governance standards.
  • Contribute across other capital markets activity as required, including debt raise.
Requirements
  • 4-10 years of total experience. Fintech or broader NBFC financial services experience preferred.
  • Must have been involved in at least one full fundraising cycle (preferably series B,C,D) with the high level of ownership of preparation of marketing materials, financial model, term sheet, due diligence and documentation to have.
  • Corp dev / Investor relationships / IB background
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong knowledge of corporate finance fundamentals, experience in valuation and integration exercises. Strong financial acumen and analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment across multiple time zones as our investors will be based in Asia, America, Europe and Middle East — in addition to India.
