- Minimum 6-10 years of relevant experience in accounts, finance, and compliance.
- Prior experience in manufacturing and/or trading companies preferred.
- Hands-on experience with GST, TDS, audits, and statutory compliance.
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual closing of books of accounts.
- Review and approve journal entries, provisions, accruals, depreciation, and adjustments.
- Conduct detailed ledger scrutiny and ensure correctness of Trial Balance.
- Oversee inter-company accounting and reconciliations, where applicable.
- Prepare and review Profit & Loss Account, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statements.
- Generate and analyze management reports, including:
- Budget vs Actual variance analysis
- Expense and cost analysis
- Revenue and margin analysis
- Key financial ratios and KPIs
- Present financial results and insights to senior management on a monthly basis.
- Ensure full compliance with applicable Indian laws and regulations, including:
- GST (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, reconciliations)
- TDS (calculation, payment, returns)
- Income Tax provisions
- Professional Tax, and other payroll compliances
- Ensure timely payment of all statutory dues and filing of returns.
- Stay updated with changes in tax laws and accounting standards and implement them proactively.
- Review and approve:
- Bank Reconciliation Statements
- Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable ageing
- Vendor and customer reconciliations
- Strengthen and monitor internal financial controls to safeguard company assets.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies and unusual variances.
- Act as the primary point of contact for internal and statutory auditors.
- Coordinate audit planning, execution, and closure.
- Ensure timely submission of records and resolution of audit queries.
- Oversee preparation of annual financial statements and notes to accounts.
- Ensure timely filing of annual statutory returns with MCA and other authorities.
- Supervise, guide, and mentor the accounts team (Senior Accountants, Junior Accountants, Executives).
- Allocate work, review output, and ensure adherence to SOPs and timelines.
- Identify training needs and support skill development of team members.
- Drive process improvements and automation in accounting and compliance workflows.
- Assist management in annual budgeting and financial forecasting.
- Provide historical data, trend analysis, and variance explanations.
- Support strategic planning through financial insights.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance
