RINA is currently recruiting for a Vendor Inspector to join its office in Mumbai within the Energy Procurement Solutions Division.MissionA Vendor Inspector acts as a quality assurance professional who ensures that the materials procured from vendors or suppliers meet the specified technical and quality standards. This involves meticulous document review, equipment calibration checks, and on-site inspections to verify compliance with approved plans and standards.Key AccountabilitiesPerform inspection and prepare quality documents as per the project requirement.Stage wise inspections of fabricated structure as per ITPMachining inspection of components .Pipe fab and installation inspection.Preparation and submission of inspection reportsEducationBachelor's Degree in Mechanical EngineeringQualifications- Industry Experience: Practical experience in the specific industry in which inspections will be conducted is often a requirement. 5 years of expereince for Diploma and 3 years for Degree holders of experience can vary based on the complexity of the inspections.
- Inspection Experience: Previous experience in a similar inspection role is highly beneficial.
- Understanding of Specifications: Familiarity with technical specifications, engineering drawings, and industry standards relevant to the products or materials being inspected.
- Quality Control Knowledge: Knowledge of quality control processes and procedures.
- Certifications in Inspection Techniques: Possession of relevant certifications, such as Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) will be addtional advantage
- Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Certifications: Depending on the industry, certifications in NDT methods shall be required.Competencies
