Job Description:Basic Function
  • Proficient in Financial Accounting & Reporting, Financial Analysis, Client Engagement
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, GAAP
Onshore stakeholder management and internal team management
  • Preparation of critical journal entries, reconciliations and month/quarter end activities before onshore sign off
  • Analyze trends and variances within the various lines of the income statements and balance sheets while ensuring financial statements are well controlled, timely and accurate
  • Ensure end to end operations management for financial reporting, disclosures,
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (US GAAP, IFRS and/or Statutory Accounting Principles)
  • Prepare and post journal entries including accrual, adjustments, and reclassifications.
  • Perform general ledger (GL) reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and audit requirements
  • Preparation of financial statements and management reports.
  • Understanding of trial balance, P&L, and balance sheet structure.
  • Knowledge of financial closing processes and reporting cycles.
  • To ensure proper documentation of workflow of all activities related to all the clients.
  • Strong collaborative, communication and partnering skills Capable of working with tight deadlines and lead closure of reporting timelines
  • Knowledge of insurance accounting principles (Premiums, reserves , assumed and ceded)

  • Team members for the purpose of seeking co-operation & clarification on process-related matters & providing support when required
Primary External Interactions Client trainers, SMEs and Operations for the purpose of delivering day to day activities/deliverables.SkillsTechnical Skills

  • Accounting System or ERP, Web based applications

  • Process flows, Documentation and preparation of SOPs
  • Ability to support Internal and external audits

Education RequirementsMust be a graduate with at least 15 years of formal education in any stream with relevant experience in the technical areas listed on this JD.B.Com / M.Com / MBA / Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting is required.
