What You'll Do As a Data Scientist at Urban Company, you will hold a critical role in elevating our data-driven capabilities and influencing the direction of our product development and business strategies. Your responsibilities will encompass: Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets. Developing and implementing advanced machine learning models to address complex problems, such as inventory planning, matchmaking and recoveries. Presenting your findings, insights, and data-driven recommendations to senior management, influencing strategic decision-making at the highest level. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, business teams, and marketing, to implement models and monitor outcomes Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy. Taking the lead in quantifying the business impact of potential projects and identifying significant opportunities for growth. What We Need BS/MS in Statistics, Math, Computer Science, or related field. We're looking for someone with 1-3 years of experience with following expertise: Knowledge and experience in ML techniques - GLM/Regression, Random Forest, Boosting, Trees, Neural Networks, Deep Learning. Experience with languages - Python, Tensorflow, Pytorch Excellent SQL skills and the ability to use tools such as Python to work efficiently at scale with large data sets Advanced knowledge of statistics and design of experiments and analysis Experience with Cloud computing tools - Sagemaker Experience with Model Deployment Frameworks - Flask, Gunicorn Self-driven with the ability to work in a self-guided manner Superb communication and organization skills.
