Responsibilities:Eide Bailly is looking for an Audit Senior Associate to join our growing India office. This role serves US-based clients (US GAAP) as an assurance and business advisory professional. The Audit Senior Associate performs audit, review, or compilation procedures for US based clients. The ideal candidate will plan and perform all phases of an engagement including workpaper preparation, financial statement preparation, and report preparation. They will train and review the work of lower-level staff as well.What you’ll be responsible for:
- Participating in client engagement meetings and determine timelines, objectives and expectations of an engagement.
- Performing audit, review, or compilation procedures for clients in a variety of industries including employee benefit plans, commercial, and/or government industry.
- Planning and performing all phases of an engagement including workpaper preparation, financial statement preparation, and report preparation.
- Analyzing and preparing trial balances, complex financial statements and audit reports using audit software programs, Word, and Excel.
- Reconciling accounting information to control accounts.
- Conducting fraud interviews on an as-needed basis with CEO, accountants and other employees.
- Reviewing staff work, prepares high risk audit sections and drafts financials statements.
- Providing financial analysis upon completion of fieldwork in an effort to improve client internal controls and accounting procedures.
- Requesting and collecting appropriate information to diagnose and solve client problems.
- Coordinating various activities to meet client needs within a specified time frame.
- Training lower-level staff on the various aspects of an audit and delegates work based on availability and experience.
- Understanding and applying work procedures and effectively tailor plans as necessary.
- Maintaining awareness of general business trends and issues and apply that knowledge to client issues and solutions.
- Participating in training seminars, professional development and networking events.
- Two or more years of audit experience in public accounting post-articleship, working on audits of US based clients in the following industries: Employee Benefit Plans, Commercial, and/or Government industry.
- Valid CA license.
- Ability to work in the Eide Bailly Mumbai office.
- Knowledge of US auditing standards and accounting principles (US GAAP).
- Demonstrates critical and analytical thinking skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and effective presentation skills.
- Ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines by setting priorities with work projects.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and clients.
- Proficient with computers, Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
- US CPA license.
