Job DescriptionJob Description:We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer with 5-8 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Power BI data modelling, master data management, data warehousing, and Azure data platform technologies. Design and develop Power BI data models and interactive reports to visualize and analyze data.
Create visually compelling dashboards to provide insights into key business metrics.

Master Data Management or Data Warehousing: Preferred

Implement master data management solutions to ensure data consistency and integrity.
Design and maintain data warehouse structures for efficient storage and retrieval of data.

Azure Data Platform Experience: Preferred

Utilize Azure services such as Azure Data Factory, Data Lake, Delta Lake, Data Bricks, and Azure Synapse for data ingestion, processing, and analytics.
Develop and manage data pipelines using Azure Fabric or Power Platform components.

Additional Technical Skills:

Familiarity with SQL CDC, fabric notebooks, Python, and Parquet formats is a significant plus.
Experience in convenience store and market basket analytics is advantageous.
Knowledge of PDI/Focal Point and retail industry experience is a plus.
Familiarity with SSRS is beneficial for integrated reporting solutions.
Familiarity with CI/CD and agile processes, as well as source control systems, is advantageous.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
5-8years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on Power BI, data modeling, and Azure data platform technologies.
Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL or T-SQL for data manipulation and optimization.
Experience with master data management, data warehousing, and analysis services structures and modeling.
Familiarity with Azure services such as Data Factory, Data Lake, Data Bricks, and Azure Synapse.
Knowledge of SQL CDC, Python, and Parquet formats is advantageous.
