- Under the direction of the customer, position will be responsible for leading Software engineering activities, including systems requirements, software architecture design and software integration of Automotive domain like Powertrain Control, EV/PHEV, BMS, Charging, drivetrain control systems.
- Responsible for selecting/creating software architecture in Automotive domain. Attend Design Verification meeting and get approval. Guide team in developing the architecture, reviewing and delivering to client. Analyze field issues and find solutions. Get the solutions implemented and verify.
- Software engineering, modelling and validation activities analyzing requirements and assessing compliance, defining interfaces, flow down of system requirements to subsystems & components, system integration and system verification/ validation,
- Provide hands-on mentoring, training, and guidance on MBD, Plant/Control model development, reviewing and delivering quality work-product.
- Support for design understanding and participation in design meetings.
- Ability and experience to consider Software architecture design
- The ability & experience to design detail software (model) specification based on software requirements.
- Basic knowledge of control theory and digital signal processing.
- Knowledge that allows understanding of the physics of the target system is also desirable.
- Hands-on experience pertaining to Automotive domain like Powertrain, Control systems, EV vehicles Plant model or Control model development
- Experience in designing the Software architecture from the software requirement.
- Hands-on experience in designing the control system from the requirement specification.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to capture, analyze and validate system requirements spanning various Control systems.
- Experience in
- model development tools like Matlab/Simulink, stateflow, etc.
- PID controller design and development
- Software architecture, control system design, development and analysis
- Software integration, verification, validation
- Software V-Cycle and processes defined ISO/IEC15288
- Writing functional test cases from requirements/control specifications
- MIL/SIL Testing
- Create/generate coverage test cases using reactis or similar tools
- Model Verification and validation
- Product and software engineering proficiency aligned with Automotive, Powertrain, transmission, EV, control system.
- Should have 10+ years of experience in MBD, MIL, Powertrain, Control System, Plant model development.
- English: Business Level
- Experience in MBSE in automotive domain
- OEM, Tier1, supplier development experience.
- Good to have Experience in:
- ECU design / ECU development.
- CAN protocol
- Excel based formulae and quality documentation.
- M-scripting, VBA scripting etc.
- HIL verification and validation.
- Autocode generation using Embedded coder, Target link etc
