Join us and unleash your potential !We are hiring Staff Accountant !Join the core group of founding members at the NTE India to build an organization from the ground up.MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY: * Maintains the general ledger for assigned accounts. Prepares and enters daily & monthly general journal entries within the timelines established in the monthly close calendar. Reviews account activity and account balances to ensure accuracy of financial data and reasonableness of balance sheet accounts.
Performs account reconciliation utilizing a variety of reconciliation tools, including but not limited to JD Edwards, Microsoft Dynamics D365, SK Bank, 3rd party tools (TrinTechs Cadency), Excel and Access. Reconciles large amounts of transactional related data and assigned accounting areas, research unreconciled items, and communicates any out of balance issues to supervisor. Partners with US Finance peers, IT and Retail Stores in resolving cash over/short discrepancies on a regular basis. Escalates change order discrepancies with bank, retail stores and armored car services.
Reconciles POS settlements, researches unreconciled items, and works with US Finance peers and payment settlement provider to investigate variances.Prepares monthly analysis of aged items for review and escalation of items for write-off consideration.
Reports on Physical Inventory process including maintaining fiscal year spreadsheets, partners with US Finance peers to assist with resolving issues between IT and Retail Operations, performing physical inventory reporting and preparing inventory reserve journal entries.
Performs and maintains detailed process documents for assigned areas including preparation of monthly entries and reports and periodic processes including cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory system sync processes.
Identifies and promotes changes in procedures and reporting that increase efficiency and reduce data keying and manual intervention.
Reviews accounting methodology for assigned areas and proposes changes when operationally necessary to supervisor.
Acts as a backup to other team members related to payment settlement reconciliations, other daily reconciliation, monthly end close &reporting.
Assists with compiling requested year end outside auditor requests including completion of reconciliation, roll forward schedules and preparation of work papers as assigned.
Keeps supervisor informed of important developments, potential problems and related information necessary for effective management. Coordinates and communicates plans and activities with others, as appropriate to ensure a coordinated work effort and team approach.

Bachelors degree in accounting or finance is required.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or working toward CPA, preferred
At least 2 years of related accounting experience including experience with computerizedEnterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience is preferred. JDE / AS400 is a plus.
Previous accounting experience in multi-location US retail or manufacturing setting with accounting and/or inventory accounting experience.
Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within Accounting/Finance, specifically Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, substantive account reconciliations, and financial statements.
Understands basic profit and loss reporting layout and flow.
Proficient in financial software including in Microsoft Office Suite (mainly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook & Teams.
Exposure to other financial systems including Point of Sale systems, BI Reporting Tools, Reconciliation Tools (i.e. Blackline or TrinTech Cadency or ReconNet) and warehouse management systems preferred.
Demonstrated ability to exercise strong judgment and able to work well independently.
Detail oriented and analytical.
Able to prioritize and multi-task effectively.
Ability to work effectively with building a positive working relationship with Finance peers in the US.
Must be able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with a wide variety of Company personnel and those outside the Company.
